Beautiful beach, golf cart for long haul from parking lot to beach, maybe 1 mile? Not for people with walking issues. Nice museum and gift shop. I bought some passion vine plants and they're doing well. Try renting a kayak in the lagoon. Many fish.
Moderate cost at the gate to a less visited beach with changing and toilet facilities. A gift shop, displays and kayaking through inland waters is available for rent. Some BBQ grills and tables ready for a picnic. A trolley can take you to the beach. Bring the family, stay the day.
Loved the place very pretty and well kept. The nature center was very interesting. Dan the park ranger is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Definitely worth going to!
I did not check out the beach as dogs are not allowed in that area. Didn't matrer, there were plenty of sand bars to romp on.
Paid the $5 for my dot and myself to get into the park. Very basic kayak launch area, plenty of parking too. There is a wooden deck to rinse your boat off at also.
Gorgeous place! Great beach! Feels private and untouched! I love bringing visitors here. This place will take your breath away!
Wonderful paddling around the many sand bars and lots of other people enjoying the water too! I will be going back. They also rent kayaks if you do not have your own.
